A great new option for treatment of leg length discrepancy. We are now offering full foot lifts, made of an easily cleanable, non compressible vinyl, available in 1mm peelable increments. Each lift consists of six, one millimeter layers of vinyl that allow you to adjust the height of the lift to suit your patients needs.
They are available in a wide range of both men's and women's sizes. Benefits over Heel Lifts Using our new full foot lifts you can correct for leg length inequalities or discrepancies without changing ankle angulation or increasing plantar flexion of the foot. With a full foot lift the foot remains level, the leg is lifted as a platform, and changes in forefoot pressure and heel cord tightness that result because of ankle plantar flexion are avoided. Full foot lifts are used to address both acquired or functional leg length discrepancies, as well as anatomical discrepancies.
Sizing Please see our sizing chart to determine the size of lift to be ordered. Note that the actual length of the lift (in inches) is provided for the various sizes, which can be compared directly to the insert of the patients shoe to ensure an accurate order.
SIZING CHART: Please note: Many different sizing standards exist. Sizing between shoe manufacturers varies considerably, sometimes as much as two shoe sizes. In addition, your patients feet may fit differently in different shoe brands and sizes, sometimes requiring more room in the toe box. The actual lengths (in inches) of the lifts are provided in the table above. To ensure the most accurate sizing please compare the Actual Length in the above chart to the length of the patients shoe insert and order appropriately. The above chart is provided as a guide for practitioners. Lifts may be trimmed and cut to fit upon receipt. No returns or exchanges can be accepted for erroneous size orders. When less height is desired in the forefoot area, the lift can be graduated by using scissors to cut back successive layers of vinyl (figure). Figure. NOTE: These are NOT orthotics, rather these are full lifts which may be used with or without orthotics.
